First and to locate the place, the house is nearby the lake of the Plate Taille, in a holiday village still developing in Boussu-Lez-Walcourt, in the municipality of Froidchapelle. 

Lake Plate Taille is the largest lake in Belgium and is part of the Eau d'Heure lakes area, which in 2010 received the prestigious European label for sustainable tourism EDEN (European Destinations of ExcelleNce).

The village reception is multilingual.      

The house is built on 2 levels, and measures approximately 128 m², 160 m² with terraces. It is planned for 8 people.
On the ground floor, there is the living room with a sofa bed for 2 people, the open kitchen, a toilet, a storage room, a large terrace and a sauna.On the first floor are three double bedrooms, one with terrace, two bathrooms: one with bath and the other with a shower, and a second toilet.
The house is heated by a wood stove in the living room. There is also a reversible heat pump (air conditioner) and additional electric heating upstairs.    

The house is for rent for a WE (3 nights, from Friday to Monday), a mid-week (4 nights, Monday to Friday) or per week (Friday to Friday). The price varies according to the time of the year. There are already stays from 230 euros.

The use of the sauna is optional, and comes to 80-120 euros per stay depending on the period.
Wi-Fi available.
Final cleaning is included in the rental price.
Linen kits (bed linen and towels) are also included, as well as baby furniture (1 cot and 1 high chair provided free of charge).
A board and an ironare available in the storage room.

During summer holidays, children's clubs ore organized, and a pastry delivery service is available in the mornings.
Our animal friends are not accepted.

     

All houses are built around multiple ponds. These communicate with each other by small rocky creeks (the ground is gently sloping), then the water arriving at the bottom is pumped to be returned to the highest pond. This continuous flow of water helps to prevent the proliferation of mosquitoes. The perimeter of the waters is sown with wild flowers and aquatic plants whose appearance varies from month to month.

The terrace, which measures approximately 20 m², partially overlooks the pond.  It is equipped with a large table and garden chairs, and two loungers.

In the second bedroom, the beds are bunk.  And as in the other 2, there is a large closet with shelves and wardrobe.

A little lower, the petanque and the beach volleyball.  And the famous Red crocodile, amphibious bus that offers excursions around and on the Lake.
    

The beach, with the Espace Fun where dinghies, sailboards and kayaks are rented, is a 10-minute walk away.
              

On this sandy beach where the Espace Fun is located is also the supervised bathing area.  Closer to the house is a relaxing turf beach.

No risk of being bored! The Eau d'Heure Lakes region is full of activities.

The region is booming tourism: activities around the lakes range from cycling to fishing through gliding, diving, golf or hook-and-branch.
